Wordsworth, Esq., Barrister, Essex Court Chambers, London, UK, held under the auspices of the Office of the Attorney General for Pakistan and the Board of Investment, Government of Pakistan at Islamabad on 1 December 2005.

Azam & Rai obtains decree for MCB Bank Ltd. in Recovery Suit

Azam & Rai won a financial recovery suit filed by it on behalf MCB Bank Ltd. against a loan defaulter in the Federal Banking Courts, Lahore.

Azam & Rai participates in three conferences in November 2005

(iii) Conference on GATS 'Trade in Services: Challenges and Opportunities for Pakistan' held under the auspices of the Planning & Development Department, Government of the Punjab at the Pearl Continental Hotel, Lahore on 14 November 2005.

Partner Maliha Azam rejoins Azam & Rai after successfully completing LL.M. in International Business Law from London University

Maliha Azam, Partner, who was on an academic leave of absence from the Firm since September 2004, rejoined Azam & Rai in November 2005 after successfully completing her LL.M. (with Merit) in International Business Law and International Commercial Arbitration from the University College London (UCL), University of London.

At UCL, Ms. Azam specialized in International Business Law under Prof. C.G.J. Morse and International Commercial Arbitration under Prof. Martin Hunter and Toby Landau.

Whilst in London, she also qualified as a Gray's Inn Advocacy Trainer.With her back in the Azam & Rai team, the Firm's capabilities and expertise in the fields of arbitration (domestic and international), corporate and commercial laws and international trade laws have been further augmented and reinforced.
